DEADLINE CHANGE for Garber Alumni and Garber Local Scholarships

Scholarships now due Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
The Garber Alumni Scholarship will be a paper application as in the past. The applications will be given to seniors on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. They will be due on March 28, 2017. There are 4 scholarships awarded from this application: the Meryl Huntsinger Award; Garber Championship Award; Breckinridge Award; and Garber Alumni Award. Make sure your senior applies for these scholarships. They can be used at any college, university or tech center.
The local scholarship application has also been distributed. It is also due on March 28, 2017. Our local organizations (Lions, Volunteer Firefighters, GCIA, Athenian Club, True and Honest Workers, Linda DeShazo) use this application to make selections.
The ORRC Scholarship is due on April 12, 2017 to be turned in at the Enid FSA Office. Do not send it to the ORRC office. The Garfield County Farm Service Center will deliver it there. Applications have been distributed to students.
St Mary's Volunteer Scholarship is due April 1, 2017. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. With their application they are required to turn in an official transcript, and Federal Income Tax Return, Adjusted Gross Income page. These applications have been distributed.
Those seniors who plan to attend Oklahoma State University should apply for the OSU Foundation Scholarships that are available only to Garber students. They are the Lloyd and Blance Long Outstanding Senior Award, Earl H Naugle Scholarship, and Hal and Jean Long Scholarship. Applications are available in my office and should be turned into me by March 8, 2017. The Jerry and Sue Schmidt Foundation Scholarship is selected from the Freshman Application for Admission and Scholarships. A student must be enrolling in the colleges of agriculture, human sciences, or education.
Students who are interested in attending Autry Tech next school year will enroll on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 12:35 p.m. They will need an email address and the last 4 digits of their social security number. Classes fill quickly, so it is in the best interest of the student to enroll early. If you have any questions, please call me at 580 863-2231 or email me at email@example.com.
Farm Credit of Enid is now accepting scholarship applications. Applicants must be a child or grandchild of a Farm Credit Stockholder. Applications will be available in my office or you may go to Farm Credit's website (www.fcenid.com) Due date is April 1, 2017.
OU's Sooner Saturday will be held April 29, 2017. This event is for juniors and their parents. Learn more by calling 405 325-2151 or go to their website and click on admissions.

Application for the 2016-17 FAFSA opened October 1, 2016. You need 2015 income tax records. Please apply as soon as possible.
Oklahoma City Community Foundations has multiple scholarships that you might qualify for. Go to their website and fill out the general application and then search for scholarships that fit your needs. (www.occf.org)
